Wet Lamination

Wet lamination is the process where the bonding agent is still in a liquid state when the webs are joined together. Wet lamination is a good choice for bonding two different materials where the adhesive can infiltrate the substrate. Dry Lamination

Dry lamination is the process where the bonding agent is still in dry state when the webs are joined together. The adhesive coated web is laminated to the other under strong pressure and heated rollers. Example is Texobond 1052

Carton Pasting Adhesives

Texobond 577

Texobond 577 is a polyvinyl acetate copolymer-based adhesive for bond between polymer substrate viz. BOPP, PVC, HDPE, and Polyester with substrates such as paper, board, cloth, glass, and wood. It can be used for manual and wheel application pastings.

Texcr yl HP-188

Texcryl HP-188 is suitable for liner fixing, lock bottom pasting, window pasting and flap sealing of monocartons. Texcryl HP-188 can be easily used in machine/nozzle applications and is suitable for high speed FFG machines for making corrugated boxes

Blister Coating

Texobond BL-1020

Texobond BL-1020 is a heat seal blister coating for bonding PET, PVC, APET and PS. Surface chemistry and glass transition temperature are the key parameters which make Texobond BL-1020 a high performing material. It can be used for both ‘in- line’ and ‘off-line’ processes.

Texcr yl CS-250

Texcryl CS-250 is a water-based cold seal blister adhesive. Texcryl CS-250 is applied to each surface to be bonded together and then dried. The final bond is not created until the two dried surfaces make contact again.

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive

Pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) are permanently tacky products which show adhesion to substrates under the application of slight pressure (this may also be referred to as tack). Adhesion is usually exhibited by polymers having low molecular weights, low crosslink density and low glass transition temperature. Whereas ‘cohesion’ which determines the intrinsic polymer strength is promoted by polymers of high molecular weight, high crosslink density and high glass transition temperature. Both ‘adhesion’ and ‘cohesion’ are to some extent contradictory, which is why PSAs require sensitive formulation wherein the application determines the levels of adhesion and cohesion needed by PSAs.

Texobond T-17: Tape adhesive

Packaging tape adhesives require high and aggressive tack for ensuring complete sealing of the material. Texobond T-17 is a high tack adhesive which provides high green strength along with good shear strength.

 

Texobond 2255: Label adhesive

Labels have moderate tack to fix the position of the sticker. But they require good cohesive strength, to not leave traces of the adhesive when removed. Texobond 2255 has adjustable viscosity to work on different kinds of machines.

Texobond 4560: Peelable adhesive

These are the most sensitive PSAs where very high cohesive strength is required. Texobond 4560 provides a soft feel for easy and smooth release and leaves no residue on the surface for clean release. Works on variety of substrates such as steel, glass, acrylic sheet, vinyl, wood, etc.

PE Replacement Coating

Water & Oil repellent – Heat Seal Coating

Texobond P1100 is a water-based heat seal coating, having both hydrophobic and oleophobic characteristics to impart stain resistance property. The coating results in a fiber tear seal strength when coated face to face. Other salient properties include fast drying, high coverage and non leaching system.

 

Foil to Foil Heat Seal Coating

Texobond F107 is a water-based heat seal coating for use in aluminum pouches. Unlike conventional heat seal coatings, Texobond F107 has excellent adhesion to metal surface which avoids ‘stringing’.

The coating has very good antiblocking properties and low coefficient of friction. The coating results in fiber tear seal strength when coated face to face.
